Teaser Trailer for Werewolf the Apocalypse: Earthblood
It’s not much, but it is something that shows me the game is still in development. If you didn’t read the title then you should know I am talking about Werewolf the Apocalypse: Earthblood. The lastest reveal trailer is just that not showing much, but as stated we are still expecting the game to be released. Now I dabbled in the tabletop games earlier in the year, but there were talks of this WhiteWolf game coming to consoles back in the mid to late ’90s developed by Capcom. For whatever reasons those plans fell through. Let’s take a look at the trailer before we jump further down the story.
Werewolf The Apocalypse: Earthblood ‘s Journey
The lore of Werewolf the Apocalypse is vast and it seems they will keep it simple with this as a single-player RPG which I can get behind. So, you take on the role of Cahal who has been away for some time. Sadly, he has come back to some dire news as his pack is in danger and so is the well being of Gaia. Thanks to this Endron which is the energy arm of Pentex. They are an installation and extraction site which means they come to destroy the forest around his Caern.
In short, mother Earth is in danger from this evil organization threatening the lively hood of his own clan. It will be up to him to tackle these forces by any means necessary.
First off What is Werewolf the Apocalypse?
What is Werewolf the Apocalypse? The games story deal with Garou (werewolves) who are here to defend Earth from supernatural forces bent on full destruction. Their greatest enemy is the dark forces called Wyrm, the destroyer. Not only do Garou have to worry about the Wyrm, but they have issues with a long rivalry with other tribes. This conflict makes it hard to win the battle when you can’t unify as one strong force. The Wyrm promises all desires, hence why they have the upper hand here which doesn’t bold well for the populous of Earth. Soon enough you will have to choose a side in order to survive.
The Assumption Thickens
Now that we saw the reveal trailer and some background here is more to work with here. I know that my previous thoughts were off since I would have hoped they let us create our own character. I do hope they let us dive deeper into his tribe and moon being born under, but that also may not come to pass. My previous thoughts were,
“I was a Metis born under the Ahroun (full moon) part of the Get of Fenris tribe. I adapted the Metis from my own personal experience is that I have long fangs. the Metis are deformed Garou since they are born pureblood. So, my character was flawed with beast features which he can’t go full human form. I am hoping that these things are adapted to the game as well as picking pros and cons for your character that you will level up and hopefully learn to gain better skills to change the situation.”
I am super excited to see what will be revealed next. The transformation system, will there be a stealth mode that you will have to be in lupus form in order to get past an area. Will there be a limit in your Glabro form which makes you still pass for human but faster, stronger and some deformed features. Then there is my favorite form the Crinos which is your true battle form giving you superhuman strength and speed, but your form will change slightly which will give away that you are not normal. I can go on all day about this, but I will save my ideals and questions when more details surface.
We are expecting a 2020 release, but developers at Bigben if you do read my post. I am ready for more details and special shoutout to Acing Entertainment for sharing the reveal on their twitter. ! – Beast Out –
